Dil Vil Pyar Vyar ‘ is one of the most unique films ever written. Most feature films are one story with many characters, ‘DVPV’ is actually there separate stories which merge seamlessly into one climax. All three stories are love stories and deal with differing aspects of the same theme; the cohesive factor is music.
The first story is the story of how love can be swallowed by ego, pride and insecurity. Krish (R. Madhavan) and Raksha (Namrata Shirodkar) are happily married. Both are aspiring singers, and want to became singing stars. Though Krish is more ambitious than Raksha, it is Raksha who succeeds first and becames a rage. And their marriage totters. Do they separate? Does Krish also succeed in becoming a star? What of the undying love that they had sworn to one another?
The second love story is a story of love getting a second chance. Dev (sanjay suri) is a widower, his wife payal (Dipannita Sharma) dies soon after their honeymoon. He moves to Bombay from Pune with his sister Rachna (Bhavna Pani). Here he meets Gauri (Sonali Kulkarni) who lives with her phychosomatically ill brother Gaurav (Rakesh Bapat). Though they fall in love, the shadow of Gaurav’s illness is always between them. And then Rachna falls in love with Grurav…
The third love story is the story of Hrithik (Jimmy Shergill) and Jojo (Hrishitaa bhatt). Even though Hrithik is a multi millionaire and both the families love both the offsprings, Jojo still rejects Hirthik. What does Hrithik have to do win jojo’s heart? Do they unite?
There wonderfully heart warming stories. An ensemble of talent in the best performances of their careers. The gorgeously rich and memorable music of maestro Rahul Dev Burman captured in the splendor of multi track surround sound.
